Indeed! As long as you access the device's backend, you can locate Pepe even if it's several galaxies away.
The problem is that the artist...
Alan bit his lip, lowered his head, and deep down, he didn't have a good feeling about Spa's performance at all.
He knew that although the physical testing device looked small, its defenses were ridiculously strong. Hacking into it would take at least twenty minutes.
But Peipei, can you really wait that long?
Unless... the Black Tower intervenes!
Click!
"Backend hack successful! Easy peasy!"
Spa clapped his hands lightly, raised the thin metal sheet, and waved it around repeatedly.
Alan's heart skipped a beat. He looked up and stared at the thin metal sheet. He saw that the red light that had been flashing suddenly went out, and in its place was a map of the space station.
He... actually cracked the device?
In such a short time... wouldn't that mean their technology is comparable to the Black Tower?
This...this...this...
Alan's lips parted slightly, as if he wanted to say something, but he didn't know what to say.
"Don't be surprised!"
Spah suddenly spoke up, interrupting Alan's wild imagination: "It's just a small toy, nothing difficult about it."
After saying that, Spah raised his eyebrows, and before Alan could react, his body suddenly transformed into a gentle breeze and flashed to the other's side.
Alan felt a sudden tightening around his waist, and his feet were lifted off the ground. When he came to his senses, he realized that Spa was holding him close, tucking him under his armpits.
"Hold on tight."
Spall said softly, a slight smile playing on his lips.
However, Alan sensed something ominous in Alan's smile.
A thought flickered in his mind, and he subconsciously looked down at Spa's feet, where he immediately noticed something unusual, and was slightly taken aback.
Spa was originally wearing tall black leather boots. Now the boots are gone, replaced by a pair of gold running shoes.
The running shoes were streamlined and featured feather-shaped edges. Even more strangely, there were a pair of air vents on the heel of the shoes.
What kind of shoes are these?
Wait! When did he put it on?
Alan was surprised.
Having spent so much time on the space station, he had witnessed all sorts of strange things, but the tricks Spah displayed were still far beyond his imagination.
"Don't just stand there! We're taking off."
Spah whispered in Alan's ear.
Before Alan could react, he suddenly felt his body lift off the ground, and heard the howling wind in his ears, making a series of crashing sounds.
The boy turned his head slightly, only to find that everything was rapidly receding, distorted into an abstract painting, making it impossible to see the surrounding scenery clearly.
"Ugh... Aaaaaaahhhhhh!"
Alan cried out, wanting to tell Spa to stop, but considering that he had to get to Pepe quickly, he ultimately didn't speak.
The two worked across multiple departments, getting closer and closer to Peipei.
Spah suddenly stopped.
He stood in front of a door, his brows slightly furrowed, his right fist clenched, and he gently pounded on the door, making a clanging sound.
The cabin door did not respond.
Spall pursed his lips, flicked his wrist, and conjured a charged gun. Just as he was about to fire and smash the hatch, he heard Alan's voice in his ear:
"Don't fire! This door is specifically designed to withstand enemy attacks. Its material is so tough that even a planet-destroying cannon might not be able to break through it!"
Alan bit his lip, his brows furrowed into an inverted V shape, and his originally brown face turned slightly pale.
"Not only that, it has very high access requirements; apart from Miss and Lady Black Tower, no one else can pass through..."
As they spoke, Spah saw Alan take out his phone, his fingers moving rapidly as he dialed a number. The screen lit up, displaying Estád's image.
Spah was lazy by nature and unwilling to waste the power of his destiny. Seeing Alan contact Estádio, he stretched and stood by the door.
Sizzle! Sizzle sizzle sizzle...
Spall waited a moment, then suddenly heard a burst of static coming from Alan's phone.
The noise was quite strange.
When the signal is poor, the phone will usually emit a long beep.
However, at this moment, the noise was intermittent and varied in duration, as if some external factor was interfering with its operation.
Could it be that……
Besides the antimatter legion, is someone else invading the space station?
Spall's head spun, and a suspicion suddenly arose in his mind.
But before his guess could take shape, he saw Alan shaking his phone, stomping his feet repeatedly, and sweat dripping from his forehead.
"We can't get in touch with them, and taking a detour won't make it in time..."
"No rush, I'll take care of it."
As Spah spoke, he flicked his fingers and summoned a virtual keyboard.
Alan's eyes lit up when he saw this.
Having witnessed Spah's hacking skills, he was certain that with Spah's abilities, cracking the security door's password would only take five seconds.
However, half a minute passed
The hatch remained closed, showing no signs of opening.
Alan was suspicious. He turned his head and saw Spa pursing his lips, his fingertips flying in a flourish, but the hatch remained completely still.
"What...what happened?"
"It's nothing, but this security system is far more complex than I imagined. Although it can be cracked, it will take ten minutes."
As he spoke, Spah stretched out his arm to wipe the sweat from his forehead, then turned his attention back to playing the keyboard.
Alan, however, felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave. Even with his slow-wittedness, he remembered one thing:
Although Ms. Black Tower didn't care about the construction of the space station... she was particularly concerned about the security of the defense door system.
Cracking the Black Tower system in ten minutes is already quite impressive.
But the problem is...
Alan lowered his head and looked at the thin metal plate in his palm. The red light on the screen deepened, gradually turning black.
Pepe is nearing her limit.
Alan dared not wait any longer. He swung his mechanical spear, raised it high above his head, and slammed it hard against the surface of the hatch.
啷!
The impact was deafening, the sonic boom almost shattering eardrums. Alan was thrown back several steps by the recoil before he could regain his footing.
But the hatch remained completely still.
Alan bit his lip, disregarding the physical strain, and once again channeled his energy, his body crackling with electric snakes.
"Hi!"
He stomped his foot and rammed into the cabin door like a bull.
boom!
An explosion rang out, and Alan stumbled backward.
Before Alan could even regain his footing, he charged toward the hatch again, the sonic booms exploding like firecrackers.
Boom! Boom! Boom boom boom...
The red light on the metal plate flickered on and off, becoming increasingly rapid.
Meanwhile, Spa's fingers were clicking away faster and faster.
But suddenly, he put away the keyboard.
Continuing to hack into the system is a waste of time! Even if it might expose my secrets... I have to save Peipei first!
Spall muttered to himself, then conjured up the charged gun again, twitched his index finger slightly, and pulled the trigger.
"Get out of the way!" Spah shouted.
A streak of golden light, like a rainbow, crashed into the hatch. Wherever the golden light passed, terrifying heat was unleashed, and even space itself was distorted and warped.
Alan suddenly felt a pang of fear and instinctively dodged to the side. The golden light grazed past him and struck the cabin door directly.
boom!
The sound was deafening, but the hatch remained completely still.
In an instant, Alan's mood plummeted, and a sense of despair bound his heart like vines.
But the next second, he heard footsteps beside him, glanced at his head, and saw that Spa had not given up, raised his fist, and rushed straight for the hatch.
A golden light shimmered and appeared in Spa's fist.
Spah changed his fist into a palm and slammed it hard against the center of the hatch.
Chapter 9 Sir! You're a real dog!
Boom! Snap!
It was just a simple punch, yet it unleashed a dazzling golden light that instantly filled the entire warehouse.
Alan looked toward the hatch, wanting to confirm the effectiveness of the attack.
Unfortunately, the golden light was too bright, engulfing everything in sight, so much so that Alan could not see the hatch, or even Spa.
As the golden light faded, Alan rubbed his eyes, finally adjusting to the change in light, and gazed ahead at the road ahead.
The hatch disappeared, leaving only a door frame.
The door frame was smooth as a mirror, with remnants of orange-red sparks. Wisps of gray smoke rose, carrying the acrid smell of burning. Apart from that, everything was empty; Spa had vanished.
Surprisingly, there's a way to break through a door with a single punch...
Alan opened his mouth wide, his hands gripping the gun handle tightly. Even though he knew Spa was an ally, his hands and feet still trembled uncontrollably.
That move... if it had been thrown unrestrained and smashed onto the surface of Azure Star, it probably would have pierced through the Earth's core.
With such destructive power, how could he still control himself...? Just who is Spatha? Is he really just a former employee of the company?
Alan became increasingly alarmed and filled with more and more doubts.
Unfortunately, he was slow-witted and couldn't figure out the key point, so he simply stopped thinking about it, picked up his spear, and stepped across the threshold of the room.
What he saw behind the door was even more unbelievable.
He saw that all the hatches had been destroyed, leaving only a long road leading deep into the department.
Mr. Spall... destroyed all the obstacles along the way in just a few seconds?
Alan was surprised; even though he had witnessed countless amazing maneuvers by Spa, his mind still skipped a beat.
Fortunately, although Alan's brain was a beat slow, his body still remembered his duty. He grabbed the machine gun and rushed towards Pepe's position.
Boom! Crack! Smash...
The sounds of fierce fighting came from ahead. Alan frowned, quickened his pace, and soon rushed into Peipei's room.
Mr. Spall... I'm here to lend you a hand!
The sounds of fierce fighting abruptly ceased.
Alan stepped across the threshold and found that the fighting had already stopped, and Spah stood there quietly, holding a small white dog in his arms.
Pepe was panting heavily, sticking out her tongue repeatedly, her originally white fur now stained with an unclean gray.
