Chapter 2 Four-Legged Monster
Chapter 2 Four-Legged Monster
In the lush green forest, a creature three or four meters long, covered in golden scales... well, a four-legged monster, was hopping and leaping through the woods.
The beast's head was large and prominent, with round, protruding, bright, and intelligent eyes. Its neck was long and flexible, able to twist freely. Its feet were broad and thick like tiger paws, steady and powerful. Its four legs were strong, and its claws were like eagle hooks, extremely sharp.
At first glance, it looks like a dragon! But upon closer inspection, its head is looking around furtively, its behavior is rather lewd, and it is actually just a four-legged monster.
The four-legged monster roamed through the forest, occasionally encountering a precious medicinal herb, which it would casually devour before continuing on its way.
Suddenly, the four-legged monster curled up under a thick tree, concealing all its aura. A moment later, a Crimson Lotus Blood Tiger exuding a powerful aura walked through the forest. Upon seeing the four-legged monster huddled in the corner, the Crimson Lotus Blood Tiger's large eyes shone with disdain. It glanced at the four-legged monster and then walked away.
Once the Crimson Lotus Blood Tiger had gone far away, the four-legged demon beast slowly stretched out its body, let out a pitiful low whimper, and walked towards another place.
The scene of being intimidated by the Crimson Lotus Blood Tiger was quickly forgotten. The four-legged monster played in the forest while searching for rare and precious materials to devour and strengthen itself.
Suddenly, the four-legged monster paused, turned its head to look in a certain direction, and a look of doubt appeared in its bright eyes.
Without any hesitation, it turned and sped toward the location it sensed, arriving a moment later at a tranquil mountain stream.
The four-legged monster shook its head, its eyes darting around, and looked towards a spot at the edge of the ravine. There, a plant with a long, straight stem and emerald green leaves stood. Although the surrounding area was full of similar wild grass, the four-legged monster's intuition told it that it was something good!
The four-legged monster strode with its short claws toward the plant, quickly approaching it before swallowing it whole.
It had little energy, was bland and tasteless, and even a little astringent. The four-legged monster grinned in disgust, but since it had already swallowed it, it couldn't possibly spit it out.
Looking up and seeing nothing of interest, the four-legged beast turned to leave. Suddenly, it paused, its entire body radiating golden light, and a surge of immense energy exploded from within, flowing into its limbs and torso.
For a fleeting moment, the four-legged monster realized there was no real danger; it must have eaten too much! However, years of survival experience told it that it had to hide quickly!
Looking up, a cave came into view. It pushed off with its feet and rushed towards the cave.
Upon entering, a faint smell of blood wafted through the air. However, the four-legged beast's consciousness was already fading, and it did not notice the figure lying in the corner. It quickly rushed to the deepest part of the cave, and after finding no trace of other beasts living there, it collapsed and fell unconscious.
The golden light grew increasingly intense until finally, it enveloped the four-legged monster, causing an unknown transformation to occur.
……
"Forehead……"
Qi Lie slowly opened his eyes. The faint golden light in front of him instantly alerted him. Memories of the time before he lost consciousness flooded his mind. He should be in a cave now, so why was there a golden light?
Although there might be danger, he was powerless to resist at the moment, so he could only check his own condition first. With that thought, Qi Lie slowly sat up, and the pain from his injuries made him groan involuntarily.
After sitting up straight, Qi Lie closed his eyes slightly, feeling the empty battle qi within his body. Qi Lie frowned slightly, but quickly relaxed.
Even if one's fighting spirit is depleted, one can still cultivate; even if one's injuries are severe, there is always a chance to recover. Since one is not dead, one can only continue to live tenaciously.
Qi Lie glanced into the depths of the cave, where the golden light originated, but he did not get up to investigate. Instead, he withdrew his gaze, closed his eyes, and began to circulate his cultivation technique to recover his fighting spirit and injuries.
Three hours later, Qi Lie slowly opened his eyes. Feeling the surging battle qi within his body, he felt more confident.
Only then did he realize that his mouth was sticky; it was his own blood.
Qi Lie took out some water from his storage ring, rinsed his mouth, and wiped his face briefly. He slowly stood up and carefully walked deeper into the cave.
The cave wasn't deep. After turning a corner, the golden light intensified until Qi Lie saw a cocoon radiating golden light, at which point he stopped abruptly.
The cocoon of light floated in the cave, bobbing up and down as if breathing.
"What is this?"
Qi Lie was puzzled. He couldn't recognize the thing and couldn't sense any aura. However, he guessed that it was a living creature or the egg of some kind of magical beast.
Just as Qi Lie was speculating, the light from the cocoon suddenly intensified, enveloping the entire cave, and a powerful energy fluctuation emanated from the cocoon.
Qi Lie narrowed his eyes slightly, his mind racing. He didn't sense any danger from it. If this really was the egg of some powerful magical beast, then he would be rolling in money!
Even if it weren't an egg, but something else, it would still be very valuable!
Let's give it a shot!
Qi Lie raised his hand and waved it, his fighting spirit surging out to shield the cave, and the energy fluctuations emitted by the light cocoon were also concealed.
As the golden light faded, the cave darkened, the golden cocoon disappeared, and the remaining energy of the cocoon carried a curled-up, naked figure suspended in the air, appearing in Qi Lie's sight.
"What is this???"
Qi Lie was somewhat taken aback, but upon closer inspection, it seemed to be a girl? He was puzzled, but still took out a set of his usual clothes from his storage ring, using his battle qi to make the clothes float in the air, thus blocking the naked figure from his sight.
A moment later, the remaining energy of the light cocoon was exhausted, and the cave was almost completely dark, but this did not affect the vision of a Dou Wang powerhouse.
The figure suspended in the air lost its support and was about to fall to the ground. Qi Lie raised his hand and used his fighting spirit to control it to slowly fall to the ground. At the same time, the clothes that were suspended in the air slowly floated over and covered the girl's body.
With a soft hum, the girl slowly opened her eyes. In the darkness, a pair of large, dark, and bright eyes blinked at Qi Lie.
Then... the girl suddenly stood up and threw a punch at Qi Lie. The fierce punch contained terrifying power, but... Qi Lie stretched out his right hand, grabbed the extremely slender hand, and gently pushed it. The little girl was pushed back a few steps.
The girl steadied herself and was about to attack again when Qi Lie suddenly said, "You can't beat me. Put your clothes on first."
The little girl looked down and found herself completely naked. Instead of feeling ashamed or angry, she touched herself in shock, as if she had just realized that she had changed.
"How did I become a human?"
A clear, melodious, childlike voice echoed in the dark cave, and then the girl asked again, "Are these clothes yours? Who are you? Why are you here?"
Qi Lie's thoughts raced, and soon his pupils contracted as a shocking conjecture surfaced in his mind.
His current location seems to be not far from Canaan Academy, so this guy...
