Chapter 26: Return to Kirishima
Chapter 26: Return to Kirishima
"You've made a breakthrough, that's great."
Hong Ping's calm voice suddenly rang out from inside the deep metal passage.
Luo Feng followed behind Hong, walking through the deep metal passage. The surrounding walls exuded an ancient and cold aura. The structure here was more sophisticated than any branch of the Extreme Martial Arts Academy he had ever seen, and there was even an indescribable sense of desolation in the air.
"My mental strength has also stabilized at the first level of the planetary stage, which is faster than I expected."
Hong continued speaking without stopping.
Luo Feng's heart skipped a beat, and he scratched his head and asked.
"Master, what is a planetary level?"
Hong paused, stopping before a massive circular door. The door was made of an unknown black metal, its surface covered in intricate patterns. He turned and looked at Luo Feng with a half-smile.
"Still playing dumb with me?"
"Luo Feng, when you first saw the headquarters of the Limitless Martial Arts Academy, did you ever wonder if this giant spaceship-like building was a real spaceship or just the exterior of one?"
Luo Feng looked at the door, then felt the weight beneath his feet, and answered.
"I've guessed, and I have some doubts."
Hong nodded, reached out, and gently pressed his hand on the huge black metal door.
With a slight hum, the door slid open silently, revealing a more spacious and technologically advanced area.
Hong turned around, looked calmly at Luo Feng, and said, word by word.
"This is a real interstellar warship. Although it was severely damaged when it crashed, some of its core functions were still intact. The global headquarters of the Ultimate Martial Arts Academy that you know about is just a small part of the wreckage of this warship."
Luo Feng was taken aback. Although he had some guesses, he was still a little dazed when he actually got confirmation.
He looked behind the door and saw a bridge-style command room, just like in a movie, with countless screens and consoles that had been turned off.
Hong ignored his shock and went inside on his own, skillfully operating the main control panel for a few moments.
hum-
In the very center of the command room, a huge main screen suddenly lit up.
On the screen, lines of universal language text that Luo Feng was extremely familiar with first appeared. It was a detailed classification of power levels in the universe, from apprentice level, planetary level, eternal level, cosmic level...
Hong's voice echoed in the empty command room, carrying a strange resonance.
"I am currently at the first level of the Constant Star realm, while Thor is at the ninth level of the Planetary Star realm. And you, Luo Feng, you have only just stepped into the first level of the Planetary Star realm."
"Above us, there is a wider world."
He paused, then tapped the control panel lightly with his finger.
Hong's voice came again.
"I know you've received some inheritance and have a certain understanding of the universe. But, Luo Feng, knowing and seeing are two different things."
"Take a look at this."
The text on the main screen disappeared instantly, replaced by a vast universe.
The moment the image appeared, Luo Feng's breath caught in his throat.
It was a white dwarf star that was slowly burning. It emitted endless light and heat, and its terrifying gravitational field caused strange ripples to appear in the surrounding space.
The next second, two incredibly fast streaks of light collided violently on that terrifying white dwarf star.
There was no sound, but the energy shock that erupted at the moment of the collision caused the entire white dwarf to tremble violently, and an energy wave tens of thousands of kilometers high was stirred up on its surface.
Those were two powerful human warriors wielding swords. Each swing of their swords seemed to cleave through space; wherever their blades passed, even light was swallowed up.
Their speed was so fast that the spaceship's systems could hardly detect them. Each collision caused the surface of the white dwarf to tremble with the energy it generated, and the surrounding meteorite belt was swept away by the aftershocks of the battle, instantly turning into cosmic dust.
Hong said calmly from the side.
"This is a record of a battle between two cosmic-level powerhouses near a white dwarf, and it's the only record in this spaceship's system."
"At their level, they could wipe out the planet we stand on with a mere gesture."
Luo Feng's mind had completely gone blank.
This level of combat was completely beyond his comprehension. The slight sense of pride he had felt from his recent advancement in strength was utterly shattered in that instant, leaving only shock and a yearning for even greater power.
Hong waved his hand, turning off the shocking video, and the command room returned to calm.
He looked at Luo Feng, whose face was deathly pale and whose forehead was covered in cold sweat, and calmly asked.
"Now, do you still think planetary-level units are very strong?"
Luo Feng took a deep breath, his chest heaving violently. After a long while, he recovered from the shock, and without saying a word, he simply bowed deeply to Hong.
"Master, I understand."
Hong nodded.
"Let's go, we've finished the appetizers, it's time to get down to business."
A moment later, a blood-red, sleek triangular intelligent fighter jet soared into the sky from a hidden exit at the top of the headquarters, disappearing into the horizon as a streak of light.
Inside the fighter jet, Hong and Luo Feng sat facing each other.
Hong introduced the target of this operation to Luo Feng—the Tentacle Beast King, who had just advanced and whose realm was unstable.
As the fighter jets reached the airspace above Fog Island, Luo Feng looked down through the porthole and discovered that the fog-shrouded island had vanished, leaving only a huge lake.
Along the shoreline surrounding the lake, rows of menacingly large laser cannons are deployed. Their dark barrels are aimed at the center of the lake, radiating a chilling killing intent.
Luo Feng looked at those powerful weapons and secretly marveled.
Hong seemed to see through his thoughts and introduced the situation from the side.
"Those are modified and weakened versions of laser cannons found in the ruins of ancient civilizations; their power is only about one-tenth of the original."
"While we may not be able to kill that beast king outright, we still have a chance to severely injure it."
As soon as Hong and Luo Feng landed at a temporary command base by the lake, Thor immediately came to greet them. He looked tired, but his eyes were unusually excited.
"Big brother, you've finally arrived."
"That beast is becoming increasingly unruly in the lake."
He pointed to the calm lake surface and said.
"I fought with it not long ago. The guy was slightly injured and went back to the bottom of the lake. I don't think he'll dare to surface again anytime soon."
Hong's gaze swept across the calm lake surface, his eyes sharpening.
"It's not that it's afraid to show itself; it's waiting, waiting for the energy within its body to be fully digested and stabilized. At that time, its strength will probably reach another level."
The three stood by the lake, preparing to devise a plan to deal with the tentacle beast king in the lake.
at the same time.
Tens of thousands of kilometers away in the Pacific Ocean, a terrifying creature over 180 meters long floats in front of the ruins of an ancient civilization.
Its entire body was covered in dark gold scales, it had a spiral horn on its head, and a pair of huge fleshy wings that stretched out from its back.
The monster hovered in the cold depths of the sea, its scarlet eyes coldly sweeping over the ruins before it, as if confirming something.
A moment later, it seemed to have located the spot, opened its huge mouth, and let out a roar that could shake the soul.
Large swaths of dark red blood floated in the sea around it, but strangely, not a single monster's corpse could be found.
