Chapter 564 564: This Is Dumbledore’s Territory

Chapter 564 564: This Is Dumbledore’s Territory

"The most talented young wizards from all over the world are gathered in one place—you really think we'd just ignore that?"

Antoine said with a smile, "You've got your mission, and we've got ours. As long as we don't interfere with each other, it's all good."

"We?" Wade raised an eyebrow. "There are others besides you?"

"Hmm…" Antoine rubbed his chin, then suddenly said, "Ah, speaking of which—I just remembered, Wovilette's been wanting to borrow your Time-Turner for some research…"

Wade stared at him and sighed. "Forget it if you don't want to say. But I hope you're not planning to cause trouble at Hogwarts."

"Of course not." Antoine put on an exaggeratedly frightened expression and chuckled, "This is Albus Dumbledore's territory. I'm just an ordinary teacher here—just like you appear to be an ordinary student."

Wade left the empty classroom and had just returned to the main corridor when he heard Moody's furious voice:

"That's right—that's Harry Potter!"

Whether it was the name or simply the volume of his voice, many students stopped in their tracks. Wade leaned against the railing and looked down toward the entrance hall.

Durmstrang's headmaster, Karkaroff, had blocked Harry at the door. At Moody's words, he whipped his head around and stared in shock at the man approaching with heavy strides.

"It's you!" Karkaroff said, stunned.

"It's me," Moody replied coldly. "What do you want with Potter, Karkaroff?"

Karkaroff glanced warily at Moody, then silently released Harry's arm and quickly left with his students.

Moody waved to the crowd, signaling the students to move along, but his magical eye tracked Karkaroff's every step until it finally rolled back into his head, leaving only the eerie white sclera visible.

Harry, looking confused, was pulled away by Ron. They had only gone a short distance when a voice called from behind—

"Harry… Mr. Harry Potter, please wait a moment!"

A doll-like blonde girl pushed her way through the crowd and spoke in oddly accented English.

"Hello, Mr. Potter," she said.

Amid the teasing looks of the nearby students, Harry gave a slightly nervous smile and replied, "Hello."

"I'm Natalia Petrov of Koldovstoretz. Pleased to meet you." The blonde girl gracefully extended her hand.

"N-nice to meet you too," Harry stammered and glanced instinctively around the corridor.

He was worried Cho Chang might be somewhere in the crowd watching—but after a quick scan with no sign of the beautiful girl, Harry felt a twinge of disappointment.

"I wanted to thank you," Natalia said. "At the Quidditch World Cup camp—you saved my mother, Sofia Lebedeva. Do you remember her?"

"The World Cup… camp?" Harry shook his head, bewildered. "I think you must have mistaken me for someone else. That night… I was with my friends the whole time. I didn't save anyone."

Natalia's clear blue eyes studied Harry carefully, then shifted to his friends nearby. They didn't seem to be lying—and had no reason to. Something about the whole thing struck her as strangely off.

She glanced at the lightning-shaped scar on Harry Potter's forehead and recalled how often he had appeared in the Streaming mirror. She felt sure that even in a moment of panic, her mother wouldn't have mistaken someone else for him.

But she didn't dwell on it. Instead, she smiled and said, "Alright then, maybe my mother was mistaken… In any case, it's an honor to meet you. Will you be entering the tournament?"

"I…" Harry had intended to say yes, but after weighing his own abilities, he hesitated and muttered, "I'm still thinking about it…"

After all, not signing up was one thing—but signing up and not being chosen would be a bit embarrassing.

"Well, I'm definitely entering." The girl smiled brightly. "I hope we can face each other on the field, Harry."

"…Thanks," Harry said, blushing.

At that moment, he really wished he had been the one to save her mother at the World Cup. Even more, he wished he could borrow Michael's silver tongue—so he wouldn't come off like such a tongue-tied idiot.

{Natalia!} a girl called out in Russian, {Hurry up! We're supposed to head back to the fortress!}

{Coming!} Natalia replied, waving goodbye to Harry and the others before turning and running toward her group.

In that direction, a dozen tall, striking boys and girls were waiting for her. One of them even pointed toward Harry, seemingly commenting on the scar on his forehead.

Harry ruffled his hair self-consciously, feeling his face burn.

{Natalia, was that boy really the one who saved your mother?} a bright-eyed, beautiful girl asked curiously.

{He said he wasn't,} Natalia shrugged. {I think I might've gotten the wrong person.}

{What about the other person you wanted to meet? Did you find him?}

{I didn't see Wade Grey, but if he's at school, I'll run into him eventually, right?} Natalia said with a smile. {If I get the chance, I'd like to talk to him about alchemy.}

The next morning, Wade got out of bed and opened his window, only to find the familiar view outside had a few new additions.

Besides Durmstrang's ship still anchored on the Black Lake, the other schools' carriages were parked across the lawn. From above, tiny beetle-sized figures could be seen going in and out of the vehicles.

As for the winged horses(Abraxans), elephant, and the three-headed dragon, Hagrid had arranged for them to be kept inside distant enclosures.

The dragon, apparently shrunken by a size-reducing charm, now looked about the same size as an Abraxan. A few curious students were already gathered around it to watch it closely.

Hagrid, towering even from a bird's-eye view, stood out easily. He was carrying a huge barrel in his arms as he made his way toward the Abraxans' enclosure.

Wade got dressed, grabbed his broomstick, and flew straight out of the window. A few seconds later, he landed gently on the ground.

Students from Ilvermorny were walking across the lawn in small groups, heading toward the castle. Some had pets with them, others were waving their wands casually as they chatted.

Wade joined the flow of students and entered the Great Hall. A black-haired girl, having just seen him descend from the sky, slowed her pace and walked beside him.

"Hi, I'm Seraphina Picquery, Seeker for Ilvermorny's Thunderbird House." She extended her hand. "Are you a player on Hogwarts' Quidditch team?"

"I'm not. I just didn't feel like climbing stairs," Wade replied casually, shaking her hand.

The girl blinked. "Not on the team? You fly really well. Can I know your name?"
