Thanks to Kaido's hard rowing, the small boat was able to skim across the sea; otherwise, at normal speeds, it would have been impossible for a ship to escape their hunting range.
"Faster, faster." Dimon looked away and continued to urge, "You don't want to be eaten by sea kings, do you? Even though we are immortal, it must be uncomfortable to stay in their stomachs."
"Stop rushing me, why don't you do it?"
"Okay, you'll cover the back."
The two quickly switched positions and each took on their respective roles.
Another hour passed, and finally the sea kings were no longer visible in the distance.
Dimon breathed a sigh of relief and wiped away non-existent cold sweat: "At times like this, I'm a little envious of Golden Lion. It's so great to be able to fly."
"Hehehe... Actually, I was just about to ask, if someone loses an arm, can they regenerate?" Kaido asked with a grin.
“Yes, the arm will decompose and then grow back from the severed spot,” Dimon chuckled. “Unless one condition applies…”
"what's the situation?"
"Your physical strength and energy are exhausted, and you have fallen into a coma. Only in this way will the regeneration speed become very slow."
"An ability even more troublesome than the elemental transformation of Logia-type Devil Fruit users," Kaido remarked.
Dimon looked around, raised his right hand, and sensed the wind direction.
He devoured the "amputated" Monroe, possessing all of the latter's sailing experience; a little bit of navigation was no challenge for him.
“It’s windy here; we’ve left the Calm Belt,” Dimon said thoughtfully. “But where are we?”
It doesn't seem to be the way we came from; I didn't see any of the Hell Pirates' ships nearby.
"I didn't record the pointer, what should we do next?" Kaido calmly stated.
"Without a record pointer, we'll just have to rely on luck. Maybe we'll run into a kind person passing by."
Dimon spread his hands, his fingers forming claws, and then streaks of black lightning flashed, instantly revealing a bottle of elixir of immortality.
To be precise, it wasn't a full bottle, but rather a little less than half a bottle.
This is what's left after it was extracted with an injection needle last night. It no longer has the power of immortality; it's just fine wine.
"What kind of ability is this? Are you a Devil Fruit user?" Kaido asked in surprise.
"This is my secret weapon."
Dimon chuckled and poured the wine into two glasses, filling them just enough.
Kaido had no interest in asking further questions. He was excited by the elixir of immortality before him, took a cup, and drank it down with a sound of enjoyment.
“What a great wine!”
With fine wine, nothing else matters.
The two enjoyed fine wine as they drifted on the sea, waiting for their destined partner to appear.
Kaido lay on the small boat, fast asleep, while Dimon leaned against the stern, looking up at the blue sky with a bored expression.
Suddenly, Dimon's ears twitched slightly as he sensed an aura to his right front using his Observation Haki.
"Wake up, Kai, something's up."
About a kilometer away from the small boat, a warship flying the flag of the World Government was slowly sailing.
The lookout on the watchtower rubbed his eyes and could vaguely see a small boat not far away, with what appeared to be people on board.
But in the blink of an eye, the person disappeared again.
"Are you seeing things? But where would you find a small sampan in a place like this?" the lookout muttered under his breath.
At this moment, the person changing shifts climbed up the mast from the back.
"It's lunchtime, you can go eat now."
"Finally we can eat!"
The lookout immediately handed over his duties, not forgetting to remind him, "By the way, I just saw a small boat at the two o'clock position."
"Understood, I will pay attention."
After giving his instructions, the young lookout quickly climbed down the mast. He first took a shower in the bathroom before arriving at the dining room, feeling relaxed and happy.
There were only two people in the restaurant. One of them was tall with two horns on his head, and the other looked somewhat familiar.
"who are you?"
The young lookout stepped closer, and as he got closer, his face gradually turned terrified:
"Lo... Locke...!"
Dimon slapped the man across the chin, knocking him unconscious.
"What are you yelling about? Can't a person even eat?"
As he spoke, he sat down as if nothing had happened and continued to enjoy the long-awaited food.
Chapter 14: Recruiting a henchman named "Jin"
After drifting at sea for several days, Dimon was doing alright, but Kaido was starving.
He kept grabbing bread and fruit from the table and stuffing them into his mouth, wolfing them down in a whirlwind.
"Aren't you hungry?" Kaido asked indistinctly while devouring his food.
"I'm fine." Dimon peeled a banana for himself and took a slow bite. "We're so lucky to have met our soulmate in just a few days."
On the vast ocean, to happen to encounter a passing ship is almost like winning the lottery.
Kaido grinned: "This is a World Government ship, probably belonging to the intelligence agency."
"CP organization? How do you know about it?" Dimon asked in surprise.
The full name of the CP organization is "CIPHER POL". It is an intelligence agency directly under the World Government and engages in various secret activities.
When this was mentioned, Kaido's expression immediately turned sour: "I've been captured by the World Government before, and I've been on these kinds of ships many times."
Dimon suddenly realized why this guy was so skilled, easily leading him in.
He remembered that Kaido used to be the strongest warrior in a certain country, and the king sold Kaido to the World Government in order to participate in the World Conference and become a representative of 50 countries.
During the transport, Kaido escaped several times, but returned several times due to lack of food, sneaking back onto the ship to eat.
After a while, he became a wanted criminal, with an initial bounty of 7000 million Berries.
"The CP organization...could they be transporting some kind of treasure?"
Dimon's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately said, "You keep eating, I'll go look for the treasure."
After saying that, he got up and left the restaurant, then swaggered around the ship searching for the cargo.
Just as I stepped out of the restaurant, I encountered a man in a suit and tie in the hallway.
The two met in the corridor, glanced at each other, and the man in the suit was immediately stunned.
"Who are you...? You look unfamiliar."
"Don't you know me? My name is Dimon."
Who is Dimon? Is he on the ship?
The man in the suit frowned as he tried to recall something, then suddenly remembered a news story he had seen recently, and his expression changed drastically.
"You're a winemaker..."
Before he could finish speaking, Dimon swiftly grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up.
"Don't be nervous. Tell me, who are the people on this ship?"
"It's CP4..."
"Where are the treasures on the ship?" Dimon asked again, "Like the Devil Fruits."
The man in the suit, his face flushed red, answered with difficulty, "No... there's no such... thing. We... were just... escorting... someone."
No Devil Fruits?
Dimon was somewhat disappointed. It seemed that even good luck had its limits. To be able to meet a destined person passing by within a few days was already an incredible stroke of luck.
"Who are you? A slave of the Celestial Dragons?"
"No...it's a...child..."
Upon hearing this, Dimon became interested. A child who could be escorted by the CP organization must be no ordinary child.
He released his grip and ordered, "Take me to see."
The man in the suit clutched his neck, panting heavily, his eyes filled with fear as he stared at Dimon.
With a determined look, he moved swiftly, fleeing in a direction far from Dimon.
"Hmm?" Dimon paused, "He also knows the Six Powers of the Navy, and he's quite fast."
I'm too lazy to chase after it. This is the sea, where could it possibly go?
He released his Observation Haki, the power of "hearing," and quickly detected a unique but weak aura in Dimon's perception.
The target is located on the lower deck.
Immediately, Dimon headed toward his target, taking down everyone he encountered along the way with a single punch.
As if entering an empty field, they fought their way through the obstacles, and after defeating more than a dozen people, they finally arrived at a prison.
Inside the prison, a child was chained to the wall. He had brown skin, silver hair, and a unique pattern on his forehead.
Most notably, there is a pair of black wings on its back.
"Lunalia?" A hint of surprise flashed in Dimon's eyes. "Hey, kid, what's your name?"
Abel looked weak. Hearing the noise, he slightly raised his head and could vaguely see a figure in his blurry vision.
“Abel, you are…”
His voice was also very weak.
Dimon thought to himself, "As expected, isn't this one of Kaido's future underlings, 'King the Wildfire'?"
He looks only eight or nine years old, and he was captured by the World Government at such a young age.
Dimon reached out and grabbed the iron fence, then forcefully tore it open, creating a gash.
He stepped inside and stood in front of Abel.
The child looked up at him, blankly asking, "With your bare hands... are you a monster?"
"It's incredibly rude to call your savior a monster. You should call him Lord Dimon."
Dimon crouched down and performed the tearing of the chains with his bare hands again. With a few snaps, he broke the chains binding Abel one by one.
After swallowing the three sea kings, his strength became incredible, and ordinary chains posed no challenge to him.
Aberdo was stunned, unable to believe he had been rescued.
"What are you waiting for? Come with me."
Dimon gestured with his chin, then got up and walked out of the cell.
Abedo knelt down and kowtowed, saying, "Lord Dimon, thank you for saving me!"
Kaido was still eating when he turned around and saw Dimon returning with a kid behind him, which startled him.
"Who is this brat?"
"Lunalia, my newly recruited subordinate. He is Kaido, and we are the Rocks Pirates."
Dimon sat down again, reached for an apple, took a bite, and said, "It's a pity there are no Devil Fruits on this ship."
Abel simply stood there and politely greeted him: "Lord Kaido, my name is Abel."
Even he had heard of the Rocks Pirates.
The most powerful pirate crew of our time, known to everyone in the New World.
"The Lunaria race... a legendary race." Kaido glanced at them. "They say they once lived on the Red Line. Is this ship carrying them?"
"I took pity on him and just helped him out," Dimon said casually.
Just then, bang!
