Chapter 222 Auction
Chapter 222 The Auction (Part 2)
"The starting bid is—five Galleons!"
"What?! Five Galleons?!"
Hearing the exclamations of the students around her, Loila clenched her fists.
What are you guys doing?! This is clearly my blood! And five Galleons is way too cheap!
"I'll offer six Galleons!" a student shouted, raising his hand. "I want to drink Professor Hamilton's blood!"
You (German swear word)!
Don't say such disgusting things! And don't be so proud of it! I'll remember you, Gryffindor student!
"I'll offer seven Galleons!" another girl raised her hand, her voice booming. "This is Professor Hamilton's blood, a precious material for magic arrays."
"How could you possibly drink that?"
"That's right, that's right!" Loila nodded seriously. This is something specifically used to make magic circles! And I squeezed it out drop by drop from my fingertips, it hurt a lot!
I didn't expect there to be righteous people among the Pinecone Party!
"So I'm going to keep it! Seeing it is like seeing Professor Hamilton himself!"
Loila's smile vanished instantly. She pursed her lips and watched the girl earnestly begin to explain how she planned to preserve the small vial of blood.
Hey you—stop it!
"Then I'll offer eight Galleons!" The interrupted Gryffindor student raised his hand again. "Professor Hamilton's blood is mine!"
"You Slytherin student, you don't understand at all!"
"What?! You're saying I don't understand?" The collector slammed his fist on the table and shouted, "I'm a member of a pure-blood family!"
"I have plenty of money!"
"I'll give you ten Galleons!"
"Ten Galleons?" The Gryffindor student gritted his teeth and said with some resentment, "He's just a pure-blood wizard—"
No—no, it's not—
What are you all so passionate about? This is my blood!
Loila watched as the small hammer tapped lightly once, and after two taps, she finally couldn't resist anymore.
She suddenly raised her hand and said, "Ten—fifteen Galleons!"
"We absolutely cannot let them get my blood! This is clearly just magic array materials or something, why are they doing such strange things?!" "Fifteen Galleons?" The student in charge of the auction raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise. "If I remember correctly, this should be the highest price today!"
"Are you going to compete with me?" The Slytherin girl, who had initially thought victory was assured, frowned. "Even if I'm a girl, I won't give up."
"Eighteen Galleons!" she said, raising her head.
"Ugh—" Loila gritted her teeth and raised her hand again: "Twenty Galleons!"
"Twenty Galleons! That's definitely a new record for today!"
"Ms. Parkinson's, would you like to raise the price?"
"Ugh—" The Slytherin girl gritted her teeth and took a deep breath. She seemed to be counting on her fingers how much money she had. Finally, she pursed her lips and said, "I—I'll bet twenty-five Galleons!"
"Give up," she said, taking a deep breath. "This isn't something an ordinary student can produce!"
"And Professor Hamilton's blood can only be used on my hands—"
"Twenty-six—twenty-six Galleons!"
"Wh-what?!" Ezreal was extremely surprised to see the red-haired girl with her hand raised in the audience. Twenty-six Galleons was no small number!
Even when it comes to buying Professor Hamilton's things—this is a huge sum of money!
So... so Lola is that rich?!
When faced with Ezreal's surprised gaze, Roy just wanted to cover his face and cry—if only he had known, if only he hadn't given them his blood!
I never imagined I'd have to spend my own money to buy back my own blood—even though I had the 5,000 Galleons Peterson had given me—
But spending money like this is just too—too stupid!
Amidst the envious or surprised gazes of those around her, Loila, with tears in her eyes and her head bowed, received her auction item from a student walking down from the stage.
"That's quite a lot of money," the student exclaimed in surprise.
Hahahahahahaha
Loila forced a wry smile, then lowered her head, holding the small bottle, unable to speak.
I've given my blood to every one of my students—if they were all put up for auction, would I have to buy them all?
"Can I see it, Lora?" the girl who had just been standing next to Loira said. "This is the last bit of Professor Hamilton's pure blood!"
While I'm glad to hear this is the last bit, what does "original flavor" even mean?! Surely no one actually drank it?!
Amidst Loila's complex expression, the next item was brought out for auction.
"The next item in the auction is even more impressive."
"Although it comes from the most common things in life, it is also the hardest to see!"
"That's a—Professor Hamilton's Chocolate Frog card!"
What?!
Loila paused for a moment when she heard the word, and then watched as the red cloth was lifted, revealing a dynamic chocolate frog card inside.
No way—why is there a Chocolate Frog card of mine?! And—and why am I wearing such an ugly purple robe on it, like an old man?!
Also, this chocolate frog doesn't look like me at all!
"I'm sure all the observant students have already noticed!"
"That's right, this isn't an ordinary Chocolate Frog card—it's a misprinted Chocolate Frog card."
"Dumbledore's clothes were mistakenly printed on Professor Hamilton's clothes!"
"This is a one-of-a-kind Chocolate Frog card, so its value is immeasurable."
"We are with ————"
"Fifty Galleons!"
Before he could finish speaking, Roy had already raised his hand.
Although I don't know why I have my own Chocolate Frog card, I absolutely cannot accept this Chocolate Frog card being circulated!
The thought of wearing Dumbledore's clothes made Roy feel nauseous!
Am I really that close to Dumbledore?! And that robe is just awful—although—although I'm not exactly a fashion expert—but…the seed—
Loila blushed just looking at it; this eye-catching robe was something she would never wear in her entire life!
"Fifty Galleons?" The host was startled by her price and asked to confirm it again.
"Hmm—Hmm!" Loila pursed her lips and nodded firmly. Let alone fifty Galleons—she wouldn't let it fall into someone else's hands, not even a hundred Galleons.
It seems that Loira's bid was a bit too high, and no student could compete with her, so the card ended up in the hands of the mysterious Ravenclaw student, Loira.
But—as Loila looked at the plate that was brought to the table, a sense of despair rose in her heart.
No—how many strange and unusual things do you have that are connected to me?
In the headmaster's office at Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore looked at the parchment with great interest, especially after seeing the names that were repeated almost seven or eight times, a smile appeared on his face.
He blinked, then picked up a money bag from the table.
-
"Bibi, please give these Galleons to Professor Hamilton and tell her that they were raised by her students to help her buy those expensive magic array materials."
"Ah—" Dumbledore coughed as he watched Bibi take the money pouch. "And don't forget to remind her to give special thanks to Miss Hamel Lola."
"She contributed half of this purse all by herself."
