Chapter 1103 Little Barty's Story

Chapter 1103 Little Barty's Story

Gary is a former employee of the Prophet newspaper and is very familiar with the manipulation of public opinion.

He also knew that Fudge was just making big promises for himself, but what happened had to be changed, and the independence of the Department of Magical News that he had promised had become a joke.

"Mr. Minister, I understand."

After seeing Fudge off, Gary returned to his desk and sat down with a conflicted look on his face.

The Daily Prophet is a traditional newspaper media. Even though it can change the content of the newspaper at any time, it will never be able to compare with the emerging self-media in terms of timeliness.

With a "ding" sound, his magic communicator received a new message.

It was a push notification from dubidubi. Rita Skeeter, whom he followed, had updated her video.

Gary hesitated for a moment, then clicked on the video.

Rita on the projection screen righteously accused the Ministry of Magic of being inefficient. 24 hours had passed, but no useful information had been obtained from the two Death Eaters.

She then added details to her analysis of the live broadcast of the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort during the day. In a teasing tone, she repeatedly emphasized the difficulty of forgery and hoped that the Ministry of Magic would release the testimonies of several witnesses as soon as possible.

Gary reached out and pressed the thumb under the video, giving this video a triple click.

As a media practitioner, he actually looked down on Rita when she was working in the newspaper.

They distort facts, make up stories, and use a large amount of sharp words to stir up readers' emotions, thereby guiding or even manipulating public opinion.

But times have changed, and he has now degenerated into the kind of person he once looked down upon.

Rita completely changed her style, relying on the newly established Wayne Media, and focused on boldly revealing the truth.

Gary had a strong feeling that no matter how bizarre and appealing the story of Barty the Youngster's escape from Azkaban was, it would probably not get readers' attention for long.

The era of self-media is changing rapidly. All wizards have a voice and anyone can become a "reporter."

"The traditional print media is coming to an end." Gary sighed and began to think seriously about how to complete the task directly assigned by Fudge.

……

……

After dawn,

Gary worked all night to carefully craft the story of Barty Jr.'s thrilling prison escape.

This poor child who lacked fatherly love since childhood met the person who changed his life when he was most vulnerable and in need of care the most.

He felt the fatherly love he had never had from Voldemort, and for this false fatherly love, he was willing to sacrifice everything he had.

Vincent, who had arrived at the auditorium early for breakfast, immediately became interested.

No wonder the new version of the Marauder's Map doesn't work. It turns out that Little Batty is disguised as Old Batty.

The father and son have the same name, so as long as they don't reveal themselves, they can hide it from everyone with the help of the Veil-stealing Charm.

Vincent took a sip of milk, picked up the newspaper and continued reading.

Gary's writing style is very sensational. In his writing, old Barty is an ambitious politician who is willing to kill his own son when he learns that his son has defected to Voldemort, just to be able to continue to stay in the Ministry of Magic.

Barty Jr.'s escape from Azkaban was full of twists and turns. First, he was unwilling to drink the Polyjuice Potion and the exchange, and then he tried to avoid the inspection of the blind Dementors.

When he thought he finally felt the father's love from old Barty, he was controlled by the Imperius Curse and imprisoned at home. He realized that he was just transferred from Azkaban to another prison called home.

For 13 whole years, he wanted to escape all the time. He missed the false fatherly love that Voldemort gave him.

Finally, last year, his chance came.

After being cast into a forgetfulness spell by old Barty, Jorkins suddenly remembered everything. She sneaked over when old Barty was not at home, took off the invisibility cloak and confirmed that young Barty was still alive.

Jorkins wanted to go back and tell the truth, but was stopped by the house-elf Winky. However, Barty Jr. thought this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

If he misses this day, he will be imprisoned at home forever by his biological father, Old Batty.

He thought of the warmth that Voldemort brought him, even if it was just false fatherly love, even if Voldemort had already died, he longed to feel his father's love again.

He took the opportunity to snatch Jorkins' wand and injured her and Winky with dark magic.

After Old Batty returned home, Young Batty did to him what he had done to himself.

Escaping from the prison called home is just the beginning. Voldemort has been dead for many years, and he still cannot embrace his father's love.

So he fabricated a fact, a fact that Voldemort was still alive.

He began to act secretly. He wanted to tell everyone that the father who truly brought him warmth had returned.

Vincent smiled, closed the newspaper, and took the last bite of toast.

There are still talented people in the Ministry of Magic. The story is so tortuous and bizarre that Voldemort's return is characterized as the last fantasy of Barty Jr., a fanatical Death Eater who lacked fatherly love since childhood.

If it were the era of traditional print media, the Ministry of Magic might have succeeded.

Unfortunately, the era of self-media has quietly arrived, and the sharing and dissemination of information is no longer single. Even though The Daily Prophet is an official newspaper, it cannot stop the popular information exchange.

But this cannot be blamed on Fudge and the higher-ups in the Ministry of Magic for being short-sighted. After all, who could have imagined that the advent of the self-media era would break the monopoly of traditional media and promote information transparency?

After enjoying his breakfast, Vincent said hello to Hermione and then went to the principal's office alone.

When he entered, Dumbledore had just finished reading today's newspaper, and he noticed that the burn on his left hand showed no signs of healing.

"Professor, your hand..."

Dumbledore raised his left hand which was covered with eschars. "You are talking about this. Severus has done his best to make it move normally. It just looks a little scary on the surface."

Vincent reached out and touched the unhealable scar on his neck caused by the werewolf's claws.

It was already good enough to fight Voldemort without using any dark magic and drive him away without both sides suffering any casualties.

Vincent came and sat down opposite him. "Professor, if there was no live broadcast, would you use black magic to keep Tom here?"

Dumbledore shook his head slightly. "I am not like you, Vincent. When I was young, I studied countless dark arts with Gellert, but I always maintained a dreadful attitude towards dark magic."

All magic has its uses, and the reason Dumbledore is against dark magic is not because it is useless or evil in itself, but because it is often used to kill innocent people.

There is no right or wrong in magic; the key is whether the purpose of using it is legitimate.

Vincent said "Oh" and glanced at the newspaper on the table. "Professor, do you think the abuse of black magic is more terrible, or the unpredictable human heart?"

Dumbledore chuckled, "You don't have to test me, kid. I won't stand on Cornelius' side."
