25. My First Vampire Experience
25. My First Vampire Experience
Matt, dressed in a black and red bodysuit, clung tightly to the edge of the warehouse wall, blending perfectly into the night. He looked up and whispered, "Spider-Man, you shouldn't have come along. You're still a minor; you shouldn't be involved in this kind of thing."
He really didn't want Peter, a child, to get involved in this kind of incident. If Peter got hurt, how would he explain it to his family?
Daredevil is a very decisive and ruthless person in the Marvel universe, but he doesn't want a minor to engage in violence, just like he used to be.
Peter pressed himself against the wall, excitedly saying, "Daredevil, didn't you say martial arts require real combat? Now's the perfect opportunity!"
Minors are always rebellious and curious, just like Spider-Man now. His curiosity about vampires has reached its peak, which is also related to the fact that a photo costs five hundred dollars.
Matt shook his head and said, "Remember not to reveal your real name, and you must do everything I say, or I won't let you come again next time."
Peter nodded and said, "Don't worry, Daredevil, I just want to take some pictures. If I can't beat them, I'll run away."
Matt didn't say anything, but handed Peter the sedative spray and a UV lamp to prevent any unexpected situations.
"Come with me," Matt gestured.
Peter followed closely behind.
In an inconspicuous warehouse, Matt and Peter carefully pressed their ears against the wall, listening intently to what was happening inside.
There was no sound of communication this time, only low growls and the sound of flesh being torn apart.
Matt suddenly had a bad feeling; this vampire seemed different.
Peter glanced at the small hole at the top of the wall, then slowly crawled over, intending to observe what was inside.
That one glance nearly made Peter fall off the wall in fright.
It was a scene from hell. The entire warehouse was like a forge of flesh and blood, with blood and bits of flesh covering the floor. Several vampires split open their jaws and frantically devoured the corpses on the ground.
The fledgling Spider-Man had never seen such a scene before. His face turned pale, and he endured the discomfort as he slowly crawled to Daredevil's side.
Just as he was about to speak, a strange sensation welled up in his throat. He quickly opened his mask and vomited.
The sound immediately caught the attention of the vampires in the warehouse. A strong stench of blood filled the air, and a few seconds later, five mutated vampires with split jaws and slender mouthparts appeared outside the warehouse.
They were eyeing Daredevil and Spider-Man with predatory intent.
Matt glanced at Spider-Man, who looked like he was about to throw up everything he had eaten that day, shook his head, and twirled the silver short sword Erica had given him in his hand.
"Come on, vampires."
Two minutes later, five limbless mutated vampires lay neatly on the ground, emitting terrified howls.
With his superb martial arts skills and enhanced physique, Daredevil can now be considered a Hell's Kitchen version of Captain America.
Even stronger, dealing with these few vampires was a piece of cake.
In reality, most vampires are not as strong as imagined. They are afraid of ultraviolet light and silver weapons. An ordinary person with a weapon who knows the vampire's weaknesses can also kill it.
Vampires survive in modern society primarily through...
The ability to live forever allows them to accumulate wealth, infiltrate political power, and even entice those who crave immortality to work for them.
They dare not openly appear in human society. If they were to actually clash with humans, humans and superheroes would make the vampires die peacefully.
"Daredevil, watch out!" Peter shouted.
His spider-sense can cover an area of 100 meters, and within that sense, there is a strong killing intent directed at Daredevil.
Matt realized what was happening at that moment; a blood-red figure appeared on his radar, exuding an astonishing aura and killing intent.
He neither dodged nor avoided it, and a flashlight-like device appeared in his hand. It was an ultraviolet lamp. He turned it on, and the ultraviolet light shone on the vampire's body, immediately releasing the smell of burning flesh and a painful, piercing scream.
Matt swung his silver short sword, its sharp light flashing, but he didn't perceive that he had hit the new vampire.
The vampire, detected by the radar, transformed into a cloud of mist, disintegrating and recombining. Its target was not itself, but the mutated vampire on the ground.
The newly arrived vampire grabbed a mutated vampire and fled quickly.
"Spider-Man, chase it! Don't let it get away!" Matt yelled.
Then an ultraviolet grenade landed among the remaining mutated vampires. Matt chased after the fleeing vampires while using ultraviolet light to slow their flight.
He had a feeling that this mutated vampire was very important to the vampires, and he absolutely couldn't let them take it away.
Peter spat a few times, then chased after it, his spiderwebs billowing around him. The cold air that filled his mouth made him feel much better, and he even managed to take a few pictures of the vampire during that time.
Because of the ultraviolet radiation, the vampire's flight speed was not fast. Matt, whose body had been enhanced, ran wildly between the houses, trying to close the distance between them.
Meanwhile, on the other side, the little spider swinging on the swing tried to catch the flying vampire with its silk, but every time it tried to shoot the vampire, it would turn into blood mist, and the silk would pass through it.
Peter and Matt's commotion was quite significant, naturally drawing the ire of the Hell's Kitchen residents.
They watched the bodysuit-clad figures and swingers on the rooftop, fully displaying the passion of Hell's Kitchen.
Pistols, rifles, submachine guns... bullets from all kinds of firearms poured down. Even Peter's spider sense couldn't dodge them all in this barrage, and he was almost hit by stray bullets. He quickly ran to the rooftop to take cover from the bullets.
"Oh, why do they all have guns?" Peter asked.
Daredevil replied as he ran, "Kid, this is Hell's Kitchen, hell on earth."
The shooting continued below, but Peter and Matt remained unaffected by the walls and the angle of view.
But the vampire fared much worse. He flew up like a moving target, getting riddled with bullets. The mutated vampire in his hand was almost riddled with holes, but even so, he still didn't die.
Until a violent roar rang out, Peter's spider-sense clearly saw a huge bullet pierce through the mutated vampire's body, turning him into a pile of minced meat.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a woman who looked about the same age as Aunt Mei holding something that I couldn't tell was either a cannon or a gun.
The flying vampire was also injured by the violent shockwave and its speed decreased. Peter seized the opportunity, quickly closed in, and punched the vampire with all his might.
It blasted straight into the three-story building below, piercing through it from top to bottom.
Peter's spider-sense suddenly started beeping wildly. He froze on the spot and said in horror, "Daredevil, I sense deadly danger."
Matt was also stunned; his gut feeling told him that they seemed to have gotten themselves into trouble.
